If intellect and integrity had a baby…it would be called intuition. That thing that comes before memory. Flows like water. Unbridled. Intoxicating in its impactful fleeting-ness.
When you reach the end of what you should know, you will be at the beginning of what you should sense.
Intuition is the inner knowing that guides us through the complexities of life. It is the voice guiding us towards truth and understanding. In the realm of the universe, intuition is the bridge between the conscious mind and the infinite intelligence of the cosmos and true mastery of existence integrates logic and experience into a unified whole anything/anyone moving with intuition. That creates manifestations of mastering the art of what I call…grasping the flies in the air. reading the writings on the wall. hearing the whispers between the seconds. listening for the lessons between the moments.
Our bodies have five senses: touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing. But not to be overlooked are the other senses…of intuition, peace, foresight, trust, empathy. The differences between people lie in their use of these senses; most people don't know anything about the inner senses while a few people rely on them just as they rely on their physical senses, and in fact probably even more.
All is fair in Language and Knowledge
Today out of fate(and intuition) this Sun-Day See Best Day; I found my sodalite stone under my sofa. I lost it (along with my other stones) in a series of unfortunate events the last couple of weeks. And what a beautifully coincidental wonderful thing. Born from the salt of the Earth as a bridge to the cosmos, sodalite aligns the mind and spirit within the body to give you clear access to your higher intelligence and deepest wisdom. It's a stone of truth and awareness, bringing clarity and vision, that marries logic and intuition to help you gain pure insight you can trust and use to spur your direction in life. I live for little magical moments such as these. Especially as someone who used to have trouble accessing my intuition since my common sense tends to dominate how I process the world. I finally unlocked(and accepted) the understanding that I am naturally blessed with remarkable intuition…as well as the power to use it for good or evil.
So I’m glad your intuition has led you to read me/this over listening to a podcast, trying out a new a productivity hack, watching the latest episode of that mini-series or a pending M-Pesa transaction that needs to be done(it will still be there after you engage this intuition). And it will be worth it.🤞🏾
Historically, intuitive mastery wasn’t optional. It was survival. The ancients charted stars not just with tools but with trust. Indigenous shamans healed not through medical journals but through inherited knowing…ancestral downloads encoded in ritual. Fast-forward to today’s thinkfluencers and tech titans: Steve Jobs called it “more powerful than intellect”.
In Kenya[Kiswahili], we call it “maarifa ya angavu”…intuitive knowledge; that inner nudging, half-logic, half-light, whispering to you long before the market analysis confirms it. It’s the sixth sense that makes you pivot just before the deal goes sour, or call your mum just before she calls you. And yes, it’s the same internal GPS that tells the Wildebeest when to migrate long before meteorological data existed.
So why does intuition still feel like a gamble in boardrooms and policy briefs? Because it's not measurable…yet. But make no mistake: intuition is an ancient intelligence, encoded in your biology, magnified by your emotional literacy, and sharpened by your lived experience. It’s not the absence of logic; it’s logic’s deeper octave. The frequency between foresight and faith.
The ability to hold complexity without collapsing it(in it).
Intuition is always right in at least two important ways; It is always in response to something. And it always has your best interest at heart.
Intuition doesn’t ask for your permission. It asks for your participation. In the power of thinking without thinking, Malcolm Gladwell makes a case that Intuition is not a lightbulb that goes off inside our heads. It is a flickering candle that can easily be snuffed out. Intuition is not fluffy. It's fire. It's first principle intelligence coded into your bloodline before WiFi, Worldcoin, or whatever WILD(read superfluous) idea some billionaire or poverty porn addict is pitching this week. You’ll need intuition to dodge potholes and pyramid schemes in many a cities like Nairobi. To pick a plot, a partner, and a pitch deck to purpose with. Intuition in finance is not about reading tea leaves residue. It’s that moment you know not to sign the deal; even if the spreadsheet smiles(I would know-so let me add-even if it sings like a canary). It’s the whisper behind a risk. The vibe behind the valuation.
Speaking of whispering vibes…
Chris Langan’s CTMU (Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe) might sound like your cousin’s master’s thesis title, but the juice is simple: Reality is self-scripting, self-processing logic. And guess what? So are you. Your intuition is the inner programming language of your being. Your own mini-hologram of the kosmos. John Wheeler said, “The universe does not exist ‘out there’ independent of us. We are in it.”
Problem solving via intuition (thank you, Monroe Institute) isn’t woo-woo. It’s just ancient. You sit. You identify the problem. You project it into the hologram. You trust your higher self. The answer won’t always arrive like a PDF. Sometimes it’s a knowing. Sometimes it’s a symbol. Sometimes it’s just a no…And you must respect the no.
Intuition, Dear Gentle Reader somewhere between your fourth coffee, your fifteenth Chrome tab and a splashy or sploshy Sunday, is not the antithesis of intellect; it is its evolutionary sibling(or lo
‘vechild with integrity as I argue). Plato whispered about it through the Forms. Descartes doubted everything but it. Simone de Beauvoir trusted it in the shadow of Sartre(as many are wont to do in intuitive intimacy). Meanwhile, your grandmother just called it “a feeling in her knees when something wasn’t right.”
Science tried to rationalize it: Kahneman labeled it System 1: fast, automatic, and often right before reason catches up. Jung coined it one of the four pillars of cognition, placing it beside sensation, feeling, and thinking. And yet, despite all the categorizing, measuring, and diagramming, intuition remains gloriously unruly. Heteroskedastic. It does not always show up in a lab coat or a peer-reviewed journal. Sometimes it arrives in dreams, déjà vu, or the quiet conviction that defies every known variable. It lives where reason sleeps and awakens only when we learn to trust what we cannot trace. As Nietzsche might say; it is a knowing beyond good and evil, beyond binary logic, pulsing from the deepest strata of consciousness where data fears to tread and genius often hides in plain sight.
Intentionally Built Intuition
Your intuition will offend everyone who can't run game on you. It’ll also keep you broke until it makes you bank. Like muscle, it grows through reps: reflection, pattern recognition, discernment, and stillness. The more you listen, the louder it gets. The more you act on it, the more refined it becomes.
I believe in intuitions and inspirations...I sometimes FEEL that I am right. I do not KNOW that I am ~Einstein
It gets easier the more evidence you get that your inner knowing was right all along. At first, trusting a hint or a whisper of true-path, and then, a slight breeze against your cheek, inviting you in a new direction.
This is the hard phase, when you have yet to validate your intuition with actual experience. This is when you need to hang tight and do everything possible to keep your faith afloat. Eventually, the inner message becomes more direct, more seamless, indistinguishable from your very breath. That's when you have become your intuition. That's when you find true-path everywhere you step. The bridge that gets you from faith to certainty is built with heartfelt determination. When you get into a tight place, and everything goes against you until it seems as if you couldn’t hold on a minute longer, never give up then. For that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.
How do you build an intuitive life?
A truly intuitive life is not one built on impulse, but on a cultivated, intentional relationship with your own perception; spiritual and somatic. It is both science and sacred. It's built through quiet rebellion: against doubt, against the cult of productivity, against outsourcing your knowing.
Here are 9 Ways to Use Your Intuition (Without Quitting Your Day Job for the have-jobs or Ghosting Your Therapist for the have-knots) to sharpen your inner compass when the noise outside is dialled to max and certainty is sold as a subscription.
If it feels off, it is off. Don’t gaslight yourself.
Trust it like a soldier. Execute like one too.
Let yourself disappoint others if it means staying aligned.
Connect with your gut(yes really. It is your literal second brain) even when it’s inconvenient.
Use your body as a barometer. She knows things.
Listen when you’re quiet. The download needs bandwidth.
Pay attention to patterns. The universe loves them.
Stop betraying yourself to be polite.
Talk your truth. Yes, even at family gatherings.
When accessing all information is common, paying attention to important information is rare.
Relentlessly FOLLOW YOUR INTUITION. Build with people who also love to grow. Take responsibility for your healing. Love yourself so deeply that you feel at home in your own body and mind. Teach yourself to forgive. Never stop being a kind person.
Things you have: Life. Talent to nurture. Breath to anchor you. People who love you. The opportunity to try again. The choice to apply the lessons. The option to forgive yourself. The ability to inspire others. A heart that can heal and be healed. A mind capable of positive change. The gift of the here and now. The capacity for hope.
The divine gift of intuition.
A beautiful future(The eternal optimist in me)
If your intuition is telling you something; in life, business, and everything in between; don’t wait for anybody else to agree to you thinking it at the very least. There is power in Intellect. Insights. Ideas. Intuition.
An Individuality of Intuitiveness.
Think you’ll be happy.
